For a trip to the San Blas Islands, wear lightweight, breathable clothing, a swimsuit, and comfortable sandals or water shoes. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses for sun protection, as well as a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. Pack a towel, snorkel gear for exploring coral reefs, and a waterproof bag to protect valuables. Don’t forget cash for local purchases, as cards are often not accepted, and basic toiletries for your stay.

By plane: The fastest and most comfortable way to get to the San Blas Islands is to fly to Isla de Corazón de Jesús from Panama City. The flight takes about 45 minutes and offers views of 365 islands. You can also rent a plane or helicopter to get to San Blas

By road: You can drive to Cartí, the main port of the San Blas Islands, by 4WD car or small truck. The drive takes about 2.5 to 3 hours and is the most convenient option for people visiting from Panama City. From Cartí, you can take a boat to the islands in about 20 minutes
