The Liberty Museum 

The Museum of Liberty (Museo de la Libertad) is dedicated to Panama’s journey to independence and the history of freedom in the region. It highlights key events, figures, and movements that led to Panama’s independence from Spain and later from Colombia, as well as its emergence as a sovereign nation.

Wear comfortable, casual clothing for the indoor museum visit, along with comfortable shoes. Bring a camera to capture the exhibit!

Open from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (ticket office closes at 3:30 p.m.), and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (ticket office closes at 5:15 p.m.).

Located at the entrance to Amador, before getting to the Latin-American Parliament (Parlatino) building, on the left if you’re coming from Balboa, and on the right if you’re coming from the Cinta Costera or the Bridge of the Americas (Puente de las Américas). If you’re taking the Metro Bus it’s the C850 Amador route.
